My local photography club had a print portfolio competition this week. Print portfolio competitions require you to enter a set of images that have some sort of theme or thread to them, and part of the judging accounts for this as well as the individual picture quality.
For my entry, I used a set of images I took recently in Paris, and titled the panel “Journey on the Paris Metro”. I selected a set of images that began with the entry barriers, took the viewer down to the platform, then with a departing train, and finally back up the stairs to the exit.
Although I didn’t win a prize, the panel scored 19/20. The images can be viewed below, and prints of these (and others) can be found at http://prints.jamesbillings.photography
