A short update for today as I kill time in the airport.
Today, we hopped over to Sentosa Island. We took the monorail which costs a fraction of the cable-car and as easy and quick. We didn’t bother with any of the theme parks, but did admire the Merlion as we exited the Monorail station:
We took some escalators up the side of a hill to find the nature walk. Part way up was this:
We headed off on the Nature Walk – a set of short trails through woodland on the west side of the island. It promised monkeys and exotic birds, but to be honest the only wildlife I saw was lots of huge ants and the odd butterfly. There was also a constant screaming from Cicadas… still, it was a nice enough walk, punctuated with some water features.
We had a quick lunch stop then headed back for a quiet afternoon. As the sun went down, the Singapore haze proved quite a good filter:
I’m now in the airport waiting to head back home, so there’s likely to be another gap in updates until later in the week when I head off to Iceland.
